Rotten TomatoesEver since the first episode of the series was released in 2018, people have had so much to say about it, but not in a good way. The audience has described this show as the most depressing and storyless show to have ever been made. They have described the characters of the series as annoying because they make the show look more like a soap opera than a thriller. The plot of the show is not good, and there is too much happening in the first season of the series. This is the kind of show that you would not like to continue watching even if you wanted to if you had nothing else to watch. Although some actors from the series try their best and give good performances, everything else about the show is so poor that it is quite difficult for them to impress the audience and save the show. The audience is still confused as to why Netflix agreed to stream the show on their streaming platform and why this show has such a great rating when it has nothing exciting to offer.

The first two seasons of the original series had a different theme song. Both theme songs were composed by John Williams, who also composed the music for Star Wars.
The gap between Season 1 and Season 2 filming was a standard just over a year (July 2017 to September 2018). Covid 19 interrupted filming of Season 3 with a 20 month gap from the end of filming Season 2 to beginning of filming of Season 3 (January 2019 to September 2020). The lengthy gap meant the most noticeable changes occurred with Maxwell Jenkins who was only 13 at the end of Season 2 but was 15 when Season 3 began filming. He grew more than 6 inches and his voice changed and his segway to mid-adolescence gave scriptwriters the opportunity to give Will more adult like responsibilities. In a recent interview, Max said he grew another 4 inches after they finished the filming of Season 3.
The planet in season one of the new series borrows from an episode of the original series where the Robinsons were on a planet with a highly elliptical orbit that made that planet icy and hot.
