In the Maldives, a travel writer investigates a famous shipwreck but falls in love with the resort's hotel guests expert. As their relationship progresses, she must submit an engaging tale to save her piece and define their future together.
At the time of filming, co-stars Jocelyn Hudon and Jake Manley have been married in real life for about eight months. They started dating in 2015, and got engaged in August 2020.
The resort remained open during filming and scenes were carefully scheduled around activities.
When shooting in the underwater bedroom, the fish outside the room would constantly move out of the shot just before the camera rolled. It was later realized that the fish were reacting to the boom mic.
