The character who plays "Cassie" is Tom Hopper's actual wife.
Charlie tells Silvio that the villa's motto, "love finds a way" is only one word off from Jurassic Park's (life finds a way). Later, he says of Julie and her tactics to get him to vacate, "Clever girl," which is also a well-known quote from Jurassic Park.
Many of the songs are originally in English and are performed as an Italian variant.
Charlie tells Julie, "the power in any relationship lies with the one who cares less." This is also a line from Ghost of Girlfriend's Past when the main character, Connor Mead, says "someone once told me the power in all relationships lies with whoever cares less, and he was right."
Julie calls Charlie "Bigfoot". Tom Hooper plays a character that is referred to as Bigfoot in Umbrella Academy.
