Andy McNab, the author of the book this movie is based on, is a former member of British SAS. He was captured and tortured by Iraqi forces in the first Gulf War, he was the commander of an 8 man patrol call sign Bravo Two Zero. Sean Bean played him in a film version of that book.
The original name of the movie WAS "SAS: Red Notice" but if you seach Netflix as of 12/25/21, the name has been changed to "SAS: Rise of the Black Swan". This may be due to the overwhelming popularity of The Rock's movie, "Red Notice" that was released in 2021 as well.
Andy McNab, the author, has also helped choreograph the weapons and tactics for Miami Vice (2006), Collateral (2004), and Heat (1995) (all of which are Michael Mann movies). He has also assisted in lending special forces technical advice to military computer games.
