The project started as a short film filmed in less than a week that ended right before the time jump. But after shooting that, director So Yong Kim was so invested in the characters that she decided to make it into a feature film.
In the 1998 Chris Columbus film "Stepmom," Jena Malone's character Anna wants to be Elvis Presley for Halloween. In this film, Malone stars with Elvis Presley's granddaughter, Riley Keough.
