Lucia is Kannada's first crowd-funded film. When Pawan Kumar decided to try the Crowd Funding route, he set a duration of 100 days in which he hoped to raise 51 Lakh INR. The amount was raised in just 27 days.
Lucia is the first Indian film to release Cinemagraph posters. These were designed by Surya Vasishta who can be seen in the Doctor's role in the 'News Debate' scene of the film.

Kiccha Sudeep (of eega fame) was in director's mind while writing script. When he found Sudeep was busy then diganth was finalized. Lastly Satish was chosen with minor changes in script.
