The song Roop Suhana Lagtha hain was a direct copy of Ottagathai Kattiko from the original The Gentleman. The same song was sampled for the song Dil Mera Deewana Dhadke from the movie Mafia. The beats of the song " Dil Ki Halaat" from Janta Ki Adalat, was sampled from "Roop Suhana Lagta Hain" from The Gentleman. The beats from the song "Tu Jhumta Huva Sawan" Mr. Azaad, were sampled from the beats of the song "Roop Suhana Lagta Hain" from The Gentleman.
milna milkar chalna' (Amaanat) and Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen's 'uf yeh shabab' (Khoon Ka Sindoor) which are both based on the same tunes of Khaled. The movie Mafia has a song "Is Ladke Ne Mera Dil Cheena" Abhijeet and Poornima Yet another copy of a Khaled song El Arbi.
Dharmendra and Bob Anthony injured themselves during the picturisation of an action scene for Pranlal Mehta's Mafia on 14th October at Verma stud farm. Bob Anthony had to be administered stitches on his hand. It was to have been Dharmendra's last shooting day for Mafia.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia,Canada.
