Simi Grewal's scenes where she strips to her bra and panties while a young boy watches and then bathing nude were very much ahead of their time and considered very bold. While she was totally nude during filming the bathing scene, they only showed her from the back. She wished they could have shown her from the front as well. She also enjoyed the freedom of being naked in front of the crew. It was very invigorating.
The issue of "Life" magazine that Rajoo (Raj Kapoor) reads on the flight to Mumbai has the same picture on the cover as the one issued in the US on 16 September 1966. The cover shows the famous picture of Sophia Loren in her lingerie by Alfred Eisenstaedt beside the headline "The Face of Our Time." The magazine held by Rajoo is an Asian edition whose other headline ("Election Surprise in Vietnam") is different from the US edition's "Assassination in South Africa," which suggests that it must have been published later.
