The lake scene was shot out in Santa Clarita, CA where it was about 32 degrees at night. Filming the scene was a pretty miserable experience for the cast and crew.
Another actor from the original appears in this 2nd sequel , charactor actor Tom McCleister who played the bartender Red Wood in the original, is in this second sequel as a total different character of the name of Hal Mooney
