(at around 26 mins) During the first view of the inside of the armored RV, license plates can be seen on the wall, including the plate from Jaws (1975).

(at around 8 mins) Lou Ferrigno plays a bodyguard in the White House. When someone tries to talk him into leaving his assignment, he replies back "I must stay, don't make me angry." This, and the fact that his name is "Agent Banner", pays homage to his hit role as The Incredible Hulk.

The original crew for this movie were all fired when they attempted to unionize.

Mark McGrath played Martin Brody in this movie. In Jaws (1975) and Jaws 2 (1978), Roy Scheider played Police Chief Martin Brody.

The role of the U.S. President was first offered to Sarah Palin, but negotiations fell through. Next, Donald Trump was approached and at first accepted, but ultimately backed out, as he geared up for his own Presidential campaign.
