Mike Tyson doesn't support this show calling Hulu a "slave master" who didn't compensate him for his life rights. In an Instagram post Tyson wrote "Don't let Hulu fool you. I don't support their story about my life."

Mike Tyson vows to make 'heads roll' over the unauthorised Hulu series. He has taken aim at the streaming service, accusing them of "stealing" his life story without compensation. He says, "Hulu's model of stealing life rights of celebrities is egregiously greedy."

Bob Arum, who had been a practicing lawyer along with being a boxing promoter, pointed out that the champ didn't have any solid legal grounds to present his case in court and stop Hulu. He said: "I think legally he doesn't have a case because anybody who is a public figure and performs in the public, anybody can write about what they did. That's part of our democracy. I can see Mike being put out that he didn't get a share of the proceeds, but it is what it is."

'Mike' is filmed in New York and Alabama, specifically in New York City, Mobile, and Satsuma. The principal photography for the inaugural iteration of the Hulu series reportedly commenced in September 2021 and seemingly wrapped up in early 2022. Since New York is where the legendary boxer was born and raised, it makes sense why the makers decided to shoot a major part of the series on location in the Empire State.

While Hulu hasn't responded to Tyson's newest claims, Craig Erwich, President of ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals, told Deadline last year, "Biographical pictures are a fan favorite and a staple of the movie and television business and frequently the subjects are not involved." At TCA last week, Karin Gist, a showrunner for Mike, said at TCA, "We just wanted to tell an unbiased story and have the audience decide what they think or feel."
