TRIVIA

Trivia

This film marks the debuts of director Gautham Menon, music composer Harris Jayaraj, and lyricist Thamarai. The trio would later collaborate on most of Gautham Menon's films, thus becoming one of the most successful director-composer-lyricist trios in Tamil cinema.

All songs except "Iru Vizhi Unadhu" and "Ivan Yaaro" were reused in the Hindi version. However, the beginning part of the latter has a similar tune as the "Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein" title song.

This film was originally supposed to release on Valentine's Day. However, they wanted to avoid competition with another film Piriyatha Varam Vendum (2001) which was releasing in the same week, so it released on February 2, 2001 and became a success.
