Trivia

Featured on RiffTrax as "Missile X," on June 2, 2017.

The movie was largely filmed in Tehran, Iran in 1978, prior to the Iranian Revolution, but was released in 1979, after the overthrow of the Shah of Iran. In an early scene when Alec first arrives in Teheran, a news vendor is heard calling out a headline that the Ayatollah Khomeini has been arrested, as a way to somewhat explain this discrepancy to viewers.
