This was the first film Arjun Rampal signed for but due to his and his co-star Manisha Koirala's other commitments, this movie didn't release first.

John Abraham was approached to play the role of Vikram Sehgal in Moksha. But he refused to play the part due to some other commitments.

Ashok Mehta wanted to start the film in the 1990' s with Sanjay Dutt. Due to Sanjay Dutt's court dates the film kept being stalled .Sanjay then requested Ashok to take another actor.

the source of Rajesh Roshan's latest song from Moksha 'Humko pyaar hai'. The rythm pattern and interludes are directly from Vangelis' number 'Messages'.

Ashok Mehta had spent almost 7 years on the film. In 1995, he had approached Sanjay Dutt but due to his legal issues he had to cast another actor. After auditioning many models including John Abraham, he signed Arjun Rampal. Production had started around 1997, but when the finance became an issue - the film saw continuous delays and didn't get a release till 2001.
