Shehzada, a Hindi film remake of a Telugu blockbuster, follows the story of Bantu, a young man who discovers his true identity as an heir to an influential family. While the film starts promisingly with a clever exchange of babies and a revenge story, it gets bogged down by too many subplots that detract from the central theme. Despite the incoherent stitching of various sequences, the film boasts some impressive fight choreography and cinematography, particularly in slow-motion and macro videography. Kartik Aaryan does well in his role as Bantu, but the performance lacks novelty. Kriti Sanon looks stunning but has little to do, while Paresh Rawal and Ronit Bose Roy deliver strong performances. Shehzada is an enjoyable mass entertainer with campy humor, an irreverent hero, and adrenaline-pumping action sequences that are worth a watch if you're in the mood for a fun, mindless movie.
