TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The red carpet scenes were filmed at the actual Cannes Film Festival. Willem Dafoe later confirmed that the actual red carpet premiere was for the Pedro Costa film Colossal Youth (2006).

Rowan Atkinson announced that this film would be the last appearance of the character Mr. Bean. However, he reprised his character on the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games in London 2012, and in an in interview which took place in 2016, Mr. Atkinson stated that he would NEVER retire from the character. However, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on 5 October 2018, when asked if Mr. Bean would ever reappear, Atkinson said: "I doubt he will ever reappear," the actor said. "There does come a point when you've done all you can. But, never say never."

The original idea for "Mr. Bean's Holiday" was Mr. Bean going to Australia instead of France.

Teddy doesn't appear at all in the film.

During the scene where Sabine, played by Emma de Caunes, falls deeply asleep in the car, she shifts her body to press up against the window and snores loudly. This is Emma really snoring as she asked for the scene to be believable and if she could really be put to sleep. The directors approved her request, and she took a sleeping pill. However, she did not know that she snored on camera and was highly embarrassed by the window/snoring moment.
