IMDbMunna Bhai M.B.B.S is the first in Rajkumar Hirani's Munna Bhai franchise. This is one of Hindi cinema's finest comedy dramas to come out in the last couple of decades. The movie has it all - slapstick humour, superb storytelling, passionate love story, heartwarming acts of humanity, and songs that will have you grooving all day. Sanjay Dutt truly steals the show in this film about a Mumbai goon who must do everything in his power, even if it means becoming a pseudo doctor, to win the hand of the Dean's girl for marriage. It shows his chronicles as he struggles to shed his gangster image and embrace his human side to completely transform into a gentleman by the end of it all. The Munna-Curcuit duo wins hearts singlehandedly, and is the absolute best part about this film. With a plot that is amusing yet intriguing, Rajkumar Hirani once again shines through with a banger.

This was Sunil Dutt's first film appearance in 10 years.
Casting for the lead role went through several process. First it was given to Shah Rukh Khan, but he declined due to his neck injury, then it was offered to Vivek Oberoi. Finally the producers casted Jimmy Shergill for the part, but they later interchanged his role with Sanjay Dutt who was cast as the patient 'Zaheer'.
Sunil Dutt played father to Sanjay Dutt in Rocky 1981 and Kshatriya 1993 but this was the first and last time they both shared screen space together
The Jadu Ki Jhappi scene between Sanajy Dutt and Sunil Dutt was the most memorable scene of their career's. They both were emotional while shooting it and were crying holding each other and didn't even realize that director Rajkumar Hirani had told cut.

"Murli Prasad Sharma: Circuit, did you know that there are 206 bones in the body?... We never thought about that while breaking them, did we?"
