This was originally intended as a pilot for a weekly series, but it was never picked up.
Following ABC passing on the pilot, UPN was asked to pick up the series. However, they declined after Lawson earned a role on It's All Relative (2003)
Maggie Lawson shares the same birth year as Sarah Shahi , who portrayed Nancy in the 2016 CBS pilot, Drew (2016) . In addition, both actresses also shared the screen together on Psych: Thrill Seekers and Hell Raisers (2010)
