Writer/Director Robert A. Masciantonio has said the main characters name out loud only once and it was to America Olivo, the actress playing The Girl.

Jenn Crawford is the only character's whose last name isn't directly connected to the horror genre. She was named so after Faye Dunaway's performance as Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest (1981). Robert A. Masciantonio has often said that film terrified him as a child.
