Reluctant Hero
Set 10 years after the events of The Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi starts around the time the last of the Jedis were getting hunted by the Empire. The first episode comes with a feeling of nostalgia for Star Wars fans as it shows a recap of the prequel trilogy, starting with a young Anakin Skywalker meeting Qui-Gon Jinn and ending with Anakin turning into Darth Vader after battling his master Obi-Wan in Mustafar.
The Disney Plus series begins showing Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) trying to stay hidden from the Empire. He changes his name to Ben, lives alone and feels guilty about losing Anakin (Hayden Christensen). Bound by circumstances, Obi-Wan is unable to fight against injustices and is now looking after young Luke. Since Obi-Wan loses Anakin, Owen doesn't believe in him and fears that history will repeat itself with Obi-Wan and Luke. Young Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) gets kidnapped, which forces Obi-Wan out of hiding. The guilt of losing Anakin had dominated his mind, and following this, he refuses to help Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits) to bring back Leia.
The scenes of the series are as fascinating as they are in any sci-fi series. Moses Ingram as Reva Sevander is one of the Inquisitors and seems like she is more threatening than others. She has a personal aim for which she can do anything, like kidnapping a child, and likes working on her principles. She doesn't follow the rules set up by the Inquisitors.
As the series unfolds the story, there are many twists, and people turn against others. An old character returns in the story. This character ends up in a conflict with Obi-Wan, who is already trying to let go of his past. The fight scenes at the end will give you a thrilling experience.

Despite having retired from composing anything Star Wars related after the Sequel Trilogy ended, John Williams contacted Kathleen Kennedy and requested to write something for this show, simply because Obi-Wan Kenobi has never had a character theme of his own before, and Williams wanted to write one for him.
When Disney officially announced the series, actor Ewan McGregor revealed that he had known about the upcoming project (which was originally going to be a film before it was changed to a series) for a long time and commented: "It's a massive relief, because for four years I've been having to lie to people about it."
Set approx 10 years after Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) and approx 9 years before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977).
Series director Deborah Chow was so committed to having Hayden Christensen reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader that she personally flew to his farm to pitch the series to him.
Ewan McGregor (age 51) is around 10 years younger than Alec Guinness was when Star Wars (1977) was released. Star Wars (1977) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) are set 10 years apart in storyline, making Ewan McGregor's age consistent now, relative to Alec Guinness's age in 1977.
