TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

One of the horror films this movie spoofs is Carrie (1976). Edie McClurg and Sydney Lassick, who have small parts in Carrie (1976) as the English teacher Mr. Fromm and Carrie's classmate Helen, also have minor parts in "Pandemonium". Lassick appears in the Bus Station scene, which spoofs Carrie (1976), as the homeless man with the "dirty pillows".

The movie was originally called "Thursday the 12th" with this title being announced in the 1st April 1981 issue of show-business trade-paper 'Daily Variety'.

Director Alfred Sole hired members of ''The Groundlings'' comedy troupe for supporting roles in the movie.

The film, which is a parody of the slasher movie, has a story that revolves around a cold case murder of a number of cheerleaders with a javelin. About a couple of years later after this picture debuted, a slasher movie called Fatal Games (1984) actually featured this set-up, where victims were murdered with a javelin.

Members of ''The Groundlings'' comedy troupe who appeared in the film include Phil Hartman, Paul Reubens, John Paragon, Lynne Marie Stewart and Edie McClurg.
