TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Loosely based on the life of NYC press agent Bobby Zarem.

As one of the subplots was fairly critical about the mayor of New York, this film sat on the shelves for two years following the terrorist attacks on the USA of 11 September 2001, a time when the city's mayor Guiliani redeemed himself in many peoples' eyes.

This apparent ode to New York City was completed 10 days before the events of September 11, 2001. The scenes depicting the World Trade Center had to be swiftly reshot in different locations.

In its initial US theatrical run, this only managed to gross $120,000.

Although it premiered in Italy in October 2002, it wasn't released in the US until six months later and then almost another year before it made its way to UK cinemas.

Popular Dialogues

"Victoria Gray: Is that what we're doing, E? We're surviving? Eli Wurman: Don't underestimate it; it's harder than it looks."

"Eli Wurman: [of Jilli's red-walled, red-upholstered hotel room] This is not a room... it's a vagina."
