When John goes walking by himself at the end, one can see, in reflection of a store window, the distinctive sign and building of the famous Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant at 1628 Vine St.
When John goes to see Mona at her job, he parks on the street; in the background is a good view of the May Company department store on Wilshire Blvd. In 2017 the building was scheduled to reopen as the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
