Dharmendra's brother Kanwar Ajit Singh had produced the film he also wrote script for the film and acted in a small part as truck driver.

Mohdmmad Rafi known as a cool guy was dancing and enjoying every moment while recording the song Yamla Pagla Deewana due to its lyrics and beats.Dharmendra was also present during the recording and was surprised Mohdmmad Rafi told him i have done my job now rest is on you how you perform in the film.Dharmendra promised him that if a simple person like you can do it so well he will blast during the song.But while shooting the song Dharmendra couldn't match the steps and decided to perform in his own style which became his signature steps.
Ajit and Imtiyaz Khan play father and son in negative roles for second time in a film staring Dharmendra earlier being Yaadon Ki Baarat 1973.
Dharmendra's character name in the film is Ajit Singh which is the name of his younger brother.
