In May 1865, leading only a few dozen men on a raid into Kentucky, William Quantrill was ambushed by Union soldiers and shot in the chest. He died of his wounds on 6/6/1865.
Although Ernie Adams and Harry Cording are prominently billed in the opening credits, they are mysteriously missing from the end credits.
