TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Roger created this stand-up shortly after Rodney King's death. He first performed it in early August 2012 at the Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles.

Roger wanted to maintain the perspective of an outsider for this project while doing his research, so he did not interview or try to contact Rodney King's family and entourage. He mostly used the internet to find information about him.

At the KAOS Gallery in Leimert Park in 1991, Roger Smith did an improvised stand-up right after Rodney King was beaten, which predicted that the cops wouldn't be convicted.

Popular Dialogues
