Alyah (Paulina Gálvez) says that her daughter Esperanza (Ivana Baquero) is her hope in life. Esperanza is the Spanish word for hope.

While searching for Ula, Dante is told that she is either dead or puta. Puta is also used in other scenes such as when Alyah describes who she used to be. Puta is Spanish for whore.

Fantastic Factory's seventh production after Faust (2000), Dagon (2001), Arachnid (2001), Darkness (2002), Beyond Re-Animator (2003) and Romasanta: The Werewolf Hunt (2004). It was followed by The Nun (2005) and Beneath Still Waters (2005). Fantastic Factory closed in 2005 after to fail in its attempt to create the first Spanish cinema company specialized in genre movies.
