TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The "platypus" face that Julia Roberts makes was added after director Garry Marshall saw her making that face to entertain his grandchildren.

During the scene where Julia Roberts drives through the town square and sees Richard Gere playing slide guitar with some "locals", Gere not only played the guitar for real but he improvised the part he was playing.

Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Hector Elizondo, Kathleen Marshall, the uncredited Larry Miller (NYC barman),Patrick Richwood and the film's director Gary Marshall all appeared together in Pretty Woman (1990).

Up until Ocean's Twelve (2004), Julia Roberts refused to do sequels to Pretty Woman (1990) or any of her movies. She only agreed to appear in Runaway Bride if it was a stand-alone story.

In real life, Julia Roberts canceled her own wedding to Kiefer Sutherland only a few days before the ceremony in 1991.

Popular Dialogues

"Ike Graham: [on the perfect proposal] Look, I guarantee there'll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me."

"[Maggie has just left her groom standing at the altar, and has jumped aboard a FedEx truck] Ellie: Where is she going? Fisher: I don't know, but she'll be there by 10:30 tomorrow."
