TRIVIA

Trivia

Tom Holland said he and Amy Pascal had discussed him potentially reprising his role as Spider-Man in future Venom sequels.

Before Kelly Marcel was hired to direct the third film, Andy Serkis who direct Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) expressed interest in returning to direct another Venom film, and felt there was more to explore with Venom in future films before the character met Spider-Man in a future MCU/SSU crossover film, including further exploration of the Ravencroft Institute and other potential villains being held there.

Andy Serkis the director who directed Venom: Let There Be Carnage was interested in directing another Venom movie, but he was unable to return due to his commitments to Animal Farm, so Kelly Marcel took over as director for this movie.

This is the second time Chiwetel Ejiofor has played a Marvel character as he previously played as Mordo in Doctor Strange (2016) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).

The movie was originally planned to come out in October of 2024, but got bumped up to July 12th of that year. After the strike, it was pushed back to November before it finally got moved back to October 25th.
