TRIVIA

Trivia

This is the first Scooby-Doo movie to feature Casey Kasem, Heather North, Nicole Jaffe and Frank Welker together since 1973, and the first movie to feature Heather North since 1997.

Starting with this film, Frank Welker is the new official voice of Scooby-Doo.

In a tribute to the original Scooby Doo, Where Are You! (1969), this movie features a recreation of the 1971 zooming Hanna-Barbara logo (also known as "The Box") after the ending credits, but without the music.

The make-up of the vampire rock stars are obvious nods to Alice Cooper, David Bowie and KISS. KISS would later be featured as characters in What's New, Scooby-Doo?: A Scooby Doo Halloween (2003) and Scooby-Doo! And Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery (2015), although only Paul Stanley provided his authentic voice to those cartoons.

Although the movie was released in 2003, it has a copyright year of 2002. This suggests the movie was produced and completed in 2002, but it was held over to spring 2003 due to the release of the live-action Scooby-Doo (2002) on home video.
