Many cast members worked as members of the crew when not in front of camera.

Christopher Downie kept a journal all through out the production, having been inspired by Robert Rodriguez's journal, Rebel without a Crew.

Downie's Grandmother created Jared Patel's iconic knitted jumper in five days and without the aid of a pattern.

The initials of James Rolfe's character are LJN, a direct reference to his character The Angry Video Game Nerd, who's most hated developer is LJN.

Most of the VHS cassette boxes are fake and feature artwork for non-existent movies. This was done to avoid copyright infringement and to allow for further creativity among the design team.
