TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Harold Perrineau is only two years younger than Forest Whitaker, who played his father.

Most of the telling of Auggie's Christmas story, from when he goes to the projects to the end of the story, is one unbroken five-minute shot.

"Paul Benjamin" is a reference to writer Paul Auster, whose middle name is Benjamin: Paul Benjamin Auster.

Erica Gimpel, Victor Argo, Giancarlo Esposito, and Harold Perrineau appeared in King Of New York (1990).

Included amongst the "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die", edited by Steven Schneider.

Popular Dialogues

"Auggie Wren: If you can't share your secrets with your friends then what kind of friend are you? Paul Benjamin: Exactly... life just wouldn't be worth living."

"OTB Man #1, Tommy: Look, I'm telling you, there's gonna be another war. I mean, those slobs in the Pentagon are gonna be out of job unless they find a new enemy. They got this Saddam character now, and they're going to hit him with all they've got. Mark my words."
