TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

This was Diana Dors' final film before her death on May 4, 1984 at the age of 52.

Georgina Hale, who had played "Josie" in the original stage production, was cast for the same role in this film, but she was fired early on and replaced by Patti Love.

Actresses Julie Christie and Jacqueline Bisset turned down roles in this film due to the requirement of nudity.

As Joseph Losey had died before the movie was released, the film was partially marketed as being the final film of the respected American director, with tag-lines on some movie posters reading, "The final classic from acclaimed director Joseph Losey."

After Blow-Up (1966), this was Sarah Miles and Vanessa Redgrave's second and final film together.

Popular Dialogues

"Violet: There's only three ways of getting money. One, you inherit it. Two, you marry it. And, three, you earn it."
