After decades of failed attempts, in 2014 Sweetwater Clifton was finally inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. At the press conference, Sweetwater's daughter Jataun Robinson accepted on her deceased Father's behalf and said "It's truly an honor, and it's about time."
Writer/Director Martin Guigui began research and developing "Sweetwater" in the spring of 1995.
