Although Love 86 and Ilzaam were released before this, Tan Badan is Govinda's first movie.
This movie is directed by Govinda's maternal uncle Anand Singh, known as Anand. Govinda married his sister-in-law Sunita.
Govinda's brother was bitter that their mama Anand gave Govinda a chance to play the lead role and not him .Anand gave Kirti a job of junior technician in the film. This did not sit well with Kirti. While all the stars and senior technicians all sat and at together, the rest had to stand in line for food.
Tan Badan, Ilzaam, Love 86 were all shot at the same time. The producers would exchange Govinda's dates among-st each other. It was Govinda's uncle Anand who would constantly ask Pahlaj Nihalani to release Govinda to shoot at night for Tan Badan. Pahlaj did and regretted it. Govinda would be required to shoot in the afternoon for Pahlaj. Due to Govinda being awake all night, he would be unable to shoot for Ilzaam properly.
Kushboo fell madly in love with Govinda during the making of the movie. Govinds played along hiding his fiance Sunita.
