IMDbTetris is a biographical history drama film that tells the true story of how one of the most popular video games of all time found its way into the mainstream after an ambitious American man set out to conquer the rights. The movie's direction and cinematography are excellent, as they use Cold War-era visuals and premise to increase tension and set the odds for the cast. Taron Egerton singlehandedly runs the movie, with help from supporting actors like Mara Huf, Miles Barrow, and Nikita Efremov. The film's themes of history and suspense are present throughout the film, offering a dramatised look into struggles during the Soviet-US tensions in the midst of the Cold War. There are certain instances in the plot that seem too over-the-top, but are compensated for in stunning visuals. Overall, Tetris is a great new biographical film, which has been shot the way movies in this genre should be.
