TRIVIA

Trivia

The Arrow was originally pitched as a major movie to Hollywood, but no American studio would touch the project, thus it being re-invented as a big budget TV movie.

During The Arrow's first airing it gathered the second largest viewing audience in Canadian television's history - the first being Donovan Bailey's 100 meter run.

Most of the photographs used in the mini-series were original photographs taken in the 1950s (such as the famous photographs of the destruction of the five complete Arrows).

To make the Avro Arrow fly they filmed radio controlled models of the Arrow from a helicopter.

The idea of a tailless delta wing plane is depicted as being a new concept in 1953 with the development of the Avro Canada Arrow, but Avro (UK) had been testing the Vulcan bomber since 1952, which also featured a tailless delta wing design.
