This spin-off series of The Blacklist (2013) premiered on February 23, 2017. It was cancelled on May 12, 2017, a day after The Blacklist was renewed for a fifth season.
This series is rare in Hollywood in that the actors cast as the parents of Tom Keen/Christopher Hargrave (Ryan Eggold) are actually old enough to be his parents. Terry O'Quinn (Howard Hargrave) was born in 1952, Famke Janssen (Susan 'Scottie' Hargrave) was born in 1964, and Ryan Eggold was born in 1984. Since Famke is 19 years his senior and Terry 31 years his senior, it's plausible that Scottie and Howard could be Christopher's (Tom's) parents.

Famke Janssen and Edi Gathegi both played characters in Marvel's X-Men movies. Janssen played Jean Grey/Phoenix in X-Men (2000), X2: X-Men United (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) while Gathegi played Darwin in X-Men: First Class (2011).
