The Devil's Hour is one British thriller series we can get behind. Showing the story of a social worker who mysteriously gets up every night at a specified time, this series has already been renewed for a second and third season. The worker's house is haunted as her son and her mother are plagued by the spirits dominating her abode. Things get worse as she gets caught in a serial killer case. This supernatural thriller is brilliant with a suspenseful script and surprises at every corner. With binge-worthy potential, The Devil's Hour has a ton of black humour that enhance the quality of the storytelling throughout the six episodes. The plot might be predictable and slightly borrowed from previous supernatural flicks, but the acting and cinematography pretty much make up for it and help you enjoyi it like a refreshing new psychological thriller.

Both Peter Capaldi (Gideon) and co-star Jessica Raine (Lucy) have connections to the popular BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who (2005) where Capaldi played the Doctor (2013-17) and Raine appeared in Doctor Who: Hide (2013), an episode that did not feature Capaldi. She also portrayed Verity Lambert in An Adventure in Space and Time (2013), the lady who helped create the show "Dr Who?". However, this series is their first joint venture.
