Trivia

The first film in the world to use Acoustic Science's new Rumble(TM) sound technology. The sound track literally shakes cinemas.

Film makers visited the real farmhouse during preproduction and experienced strange problems with their video equipment.

The Dead Room is inspired by a New Zealand suburban legend, surrounding an historic farmhouse in central Otago New Zealand.

The real house in central Otago has a front door that opens by itself. When film makers visited the house the door was ajar, despite having two locks attached to it.

Laura Petersen performed her own stunts in the film.
