Kim Hopkins auditioned for the role of Xaviera, but decided not to pursue it when she read the script and found out she'd have to perform intimate nude scenes with Adam West. She'd grown up watching him as Batman (1966) and didn't feel right doing that. Later, she got a phone call saying they wanted her, and she told them she didn't want the role. They said they'd switched her to Young Xaviera, which was fine with her so she accepted it.
Kim Hopkins said in an interview that she was cast to play Young Xaviera, but while filming her scene, the director wanted her to take off her top. She refused, saying she hadn't agreed to that. She had also sworn never to perform nude again after being talked into being fully nude in her first film The Hollywood Knights (1980). The director told her Julie Andrews did it, and Hopkins said, "Her husband was directing it." He brought up Bo Derek, and she said Bo Derek wasn't an actor, and again refused to do it. He threatened to fire her, but she stood her ground and he finally relented after she agreed to wear a sheer blouse that slightly showed her nipples.
The nudity level is much higher in this one than the prior two films.
