Mark Gil's last film before his death. Gil was already diagnosed with liver cancer during production, but this information was not yet revealed to the public at the time.

Mark Gil initially did not want to accept any projects at the time the film was starting to go into production. It was his sister, Cherie Gil, who also played his sister in the film, who convinced him that "it won't feel like work."

Gabby Fernandez, the film's director, is a close family friend of Mark Gil and Cherie Gil.
