The drawings done by Chad (Hill Harper), were painted by Irishman James Hanley.
The first production under Pierce Brosnan's Irish DreamTime company.
When Rachel (Lorraine Pilkington) tries on her boots at the bar, two older men ogle her legs, while she slides them on. Peter (Luke Griffin) exclaims that she'd give the two lads a heart attack. Rachel replies, "Well at least they'll die smiling", before lifting up a slither of her skirt to show more leg. Jimmy Keogh, who portrayed one of the older men, portrayed the title character in Waking Ned Devine (1998), who died smiling from the shock of having a winning lottery ticket.
During an interview on Irish television in 1998, Pierce Brosnan claimed that there was talk of him playing the role of Tony Egan, before Donal McCann became attached to the project.
Donal McCann (Tony Egan) passed away one year after this film was released.
