TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

It is the most expensive animated movie co-produced in South Korea.

In Surly Squirrel (2005), the original short movie about the rivalry between Raccoon and his followers against Surly and Buddy, Raccoon's team are depicted as the "good" side. In this feature length adaptation, this is reversed.

Will Arnett's 7th animated film, after Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ratatouille (2007), Horton Hears a Who! (2008), Monsters vs. Aliens (2009), Despicable Me (2010), and the English version of The Secret World of Arrietty (2010).

When the spy has a newspaper with a hole in it to look through, you can closely see that there is a un-formatted version of the script on the newspaper, with words such as "it pans to Surly Squirrel," or "Luck's shin gets kicked."

This movie's production art was featured in a Brampton, Ontario exhibit.

Popular Dialogues

"Surly: Buddy, we found it! The lost city of Nutlantis!"

"Surly: It's not going to be easy but we're talkin' almonds, pistachios, walnuts and did I mention the peanut brittle? Jimmy: Whoa, is that a candy, or a nut? Surly: [laughs] Both."
