TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Peter O'Toole (Captain Tom Cat) spends the latter part of the movie with his eyes closed because he couldn't stand wearing the contact lenses that gave him the appearance of blindness, which he wore in the earlier parts of the movie.

In December 2012, writer and director Andrew Sinclair gifted this movie's rights to the people of Wales.

The budget of $300,000 was underwritten by Richard Burton, as he was so keen to make Dylan Thomas' work available to a wider public.

The name of the village, Llareggub, is "bugger all" spelled backwards.

The three principal stars were just paid £10,000 for their services.
