The boys names in the film are Lukas and Elias, which are the real life names of the boys who starred in the Austrian version of the film.
Cameron Crovetti and Nicholas Crovetti were 13 years old at the time of filming. The age of their characters is never stated, but it can be assumed they're playing years younger than their actual age. They call their mother "Mommy" and she refers to herself as that, Elias's drawing is very childish and crude, he still wets the bed, they describe themselves as "little kids" later in the movie, and Elias and Lukas in the original Goodnight Mommy (2014) were played by younger actors.
The original title in German "Ich Seh Ich Seh," translates to "I See I See."
