TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Along with playing one of the main characters, Elisha Cuthbert was also an associate producer for the movie.

An alternate scene of Dot witnessing Paul in bed with Nina through the gap in Nina's bedroom door, can be glimpsed in the trailer.

Camilla Belle played many of the piano pieces. "Piano Sonata #23 Opus 57, 'Appassionata', Allegro assai" is performed by Anthony Aubrey Tobin, and "Piano Sonata #14 Opus 27, No. 2 'Moonlight', Adagio" is performed by Carrie W. Friedman. Elisha Cuthbert performed the first few notes of "Piano Sonata #19 Opus 49, No. 1, Andante" with Camilla Belle before Anthony Aubrey Tobin finished.

Style and themes of the movie compared by some critics' to director Sam Mendes' American Beauty (1999).

Although Camilla Belle's eyes are actually hazel they were digitally changed to blue for the DVD cover and theatrical poster.

Popular Dialogues

"[last lines] Dot: But being invisible isn't worth it in the end, because when you're invisible, other people may not see you, but you can't help seeing other people."

"Dot: One day, we wake up and we realize the world sucks. We suck for being in it and we run away. Anything but to face ourselves as we are. Anything to avoid asking why we hate ourselves so much."
