Although planned as a sequel to Hammer's She (1965), a last-minute rewrite of the script removed all connections to the earlier movie. This now plays more as a remake of "She" with an immortal man in place of an immortal woman.
The voice of David de Keyser is dubbed over that of John Richardson.
Ursula Andress starred in She (1965) but turned down the chance to star in this sequel.
After Ursula Andress turned down repeating the role she had created, model Samantha Jones, Britt Ekland (Peter Sellers' wife) and Barbara Bouchet were also considered for the role.
Susan Denberg was announced as a replacement but eventual newcomer Olga Schoberová was cast instead.
"Sheila: Trouble? George: Nothing I can't run away from. That's why I'm rich. I know when to run."
"George: I could swear - that I have just been talking, on the upper deck, to a young lady - of considerable - endowments... Philip: That's good. George: Practically no clothes on. Philip: That's good too. So, what's your problem? George: What's my problem?"
