The Witcher: Blood Origin is a spinoff from The Witcher series that has received rave reviews. Unfortunately, though, The Witcher: Blood Origin is said to be a dissatisfying prequel to a wonderfully-written show. In fact, the critics complain about a lack of imagination in the storytelling and the show's self-consuming nature that has brought about its failure. The problem of indulging in fantasy genre cliches and superficial plot lines is what plagues The Witcher: Blood Origin. There is almost zero backstory on the protagonists, which has the viewer asking for more. And, by the end, the series delivers nothing. This prequel adds nothing of value to the original universe, which could act as a boon for the creators as they can now weave another tale to beautify the legacy of the existing series. Critics also complain about the underwhelming action scenes and choreography, which make it unwatchable after a few episodes.
