The film spoofed a clash of Rajkumar and Govinda during the making of Jungbaaz.
The trumpet tune used at 1:00 of "Pagh Ghungroo Bandh" from Namak Halaal was later the source of inspiration from the tune of the song "Mera Dil Kho Gaya" from Aazmayish. What is confusing is that a similar tune was used by Michael Jackson for his song "Bad", 5 years later. The song "Boogie Boogie" from Kismetwala also had the same tune which sounded like "Bad". Himesh Reshamiya also used this same tune at 0:27 for the song "Ice Cream" from the film The Xpose. Another version was in the song "Dokha Dokha" from the movie Dana Pani. The song "Tere Baap Ko" from Do Aankhen Barah Haath" also sampled Michael Jackson's song "BAD".
There were many stories that Himesh's character was based on Raaj Kumar prior to his entering Hindi films.
Irrfan was upset with putting his face in the film's publicity. He was told it was a special appearance and he would not be splashed all over the movie's poster's.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia, Canada.
